That Cool!? That cool, Mommy?

Natalie has brought nothing but joy to my life, but I'll have to admit she keeps me on my toes!

The other day we were sitting on the couch. I, on my Kindle and Natalie watching some Nick Jr.
All of the sudden Natalie does a somersault off of the couch! (please note in an earlier blog I mentioned I can become quite dramatic...)

BUT before I even had time to react besides making a huge gasping sound, Natalie shouts out, "That cool!? That cool, Mommy?" It took me a while to take in what she was saying, and once it sunk in I burst out laughing!

She then said, "it is pretty cool."

I'll have to admit I have one "cool" daughter. :)

The Beginning of A Long Journey

I remember the day I walked into KSAT not realizing my life was about to change forever.

At the time I was dating my now husband and I had complained of being sick for about two weeks. I had stomach pains and was nauseous constantly (not just in the morning!!!)

One of the first questions the nurse asked me was a general question that is normally asked for women visiting the doctor..."Are you pregnant?"

I replied with a simple no as I had done everytime I visited the doctor.

I WAS mistaken!

I remenber hearing before that if one nurse leaves and two come back you are in for a shock! (something that happened many times over this journey)

...You guessed it! Two nurses came back in. I thought for sure I was dying of some disease. (I can become quite dramatic=))

One of the nurses (she was defnitely pregnant) relayed the news that I too was pregnant. Her face had shown so bright with a beautiful smile I couldn't help but smile back....
...and then came the tears.

This was not a joyous occasion for me because at the time I thought this is NOT what I wanted to hear, my life was over.

I was mistaken yet again! Little did I know how much I would come to love and cherish my beautiful daughter.

MY life was just beginning!

Hi All! Joining the Blogging World!!!

I wasn't sure how to start my first blog, and at 23 there has definitely been a lot of joy, happiness, tears, grief and so on! So updating what's been going on would take....FOREVER! :)

I would like to begin by sharing what a handsome and beautiful husband and daughter I have!

Did I mention we like to be goofy!? 

My daughter and I both almost had our lives cut short so we like to see the joy and happiness in anything we can!

I hope I can entertain, explain, and inspire others as I begin this journey of documenting our crazy wonderful life!
